Introducing our Emergency Management Awareness Month Work
Our "One-a-day" collection of posts, and podcasts in support of "August is National Emergency Management Awareness Month" starts tomorrow.
As part of the “August is National Emergency Management Awareness Month” campaign, originated by the IAEM-USA, to raise awareness of the field of professional Emergency Management (as well as better describe what Emergency Managers do, don’t do, etc.), we bring you our take on 31 Days of Emergency Management Awareness.
These posts are designed for the general public, folks beginning their education and/or careers in Emergency Management, local politicians, community leaders, etc. We figure there are a ton of questions about what Emergency Management is all about, and since we have a open mic and platform to help explain all of it, here goes!
The goal is to move the needle on Disaster Readiness: for yourself, your family, your community, and your nation. Our posts come out - basically one a day, for the entire month of August. As they update every seven days or so, we will update this post with the links. You can use this post as a landing page to find all the other posts.
We encourage you to share this Substack post with your friends, fiends, and foes. Here’s what we are covering, by each day of August:

Oh, and by the way, since we are putting out a post a day - we will not be emailing the posting of the FBI IC3 alerts here - they will, however, be going out as ‘notes’ and still can be found in the search box for this Substack. Same for any cross-posts and curated content from folks like Philippe Borremans - those will be here on the Substack as well, just not e-mailed out. On August 15th, there will be two posts - one for the Awareness month, and the other is the drop announcement of the new podcast episode. Apologies for the volume of content being pushed.
